The trek along the Fitz Roy path spans a challenging 20 kilometers. The duration of the hike may vary depending on individual pace and physical condition, but typically takes between 8 to 9 hours, including short breaks to admire the breathtaking landscape that will captivate you throughout the journey.

The activity kicks off with convenient hotel pick-up. As you travel along Route 40, keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the possibility of witnessing a stunning sunrise over the hills, weather permitting.

Once you arrive at your destination, you will receive a briefing about the trail, as well as walking sticks and a map, before commencing the trek.

During the initial section, you’ll cross the forest until reaching Laguna Capri, the first technical stop. The color of the water and the surrounding nature at this lagoon will undoubtedly leave you astonished, not to mention the unmissable views of Fitz Roy.

Continuing along the trail, you’ll cross the Río Blanco bridge until reaching Camping Poincenot, an untouched campsite nestled amidst the native forest.

Upon arrival, your transportation will be waiting to take you on an unforgettable 8-hour trek along the Fitz Roy Trail, covering a total distance of 20 km and reaching an elevation of 1,200 meters.

As you traverse various landscapes, ranging from lush forests to more austere surroundings adorned with shimmering water mirrors, you’ll ultimately arrive at Laguna de los Tres.

For the return journey, you’ll retrace the same path you took earlier. However, it’s important to note that there is one detour point to be aware of, which is the Mirador del Fitz Roy. Please refrain from taking this path, as it may hinder search and rescue efforts if necessary. The recommended route is through Laguna Capri.
