Located in the city of Alto at an altitude of 4,100 meters above sea level, the Cholitas Luchadoras are female fighters who perform a popular show. In this show, rural women are transformed into Cholitas by dressing up in traditional attire including a hat, shawl, long skirts (polleras), and shoes. This entertainment is especially significant in La Paz Department, where there is a large population of indigenous people and El Alto was born. The show takes place every Thursday and Sunday, and families and friends gather to enjoy the spectacle. The combatants, whether they are women or men, put on a display of strength and skill.
Itinerary:
We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 pm and depart for Ciudad del Alto. It will take approximately one hour to reach the Coliseum, where the show will take place. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spectacle for about two hours before we return to the city of La Paz at 8:00 p.m.
